After 4 days of i4Siri beta being released to donators we have made great progress. We have provided a stable dual server based setup that processes siri requests and spits information back to the user. Initially we launched the beta with notes, listen say commands, search the web, and a few others with i4Siri functions. Recently @ericlewis has implemented his own api that processes basically everything a user says to siri and spits a smart remark back. Its quite interesting. This makes siri smart. Responses are not like apple’s however, responses are logical, funny, and serve the same purpose.
As for the core functions of siri itself, the i4Siri team has been working on implementing these. We have successfully implemented timer, map injection, yelp, “smart siri”, “thats what she said” (from a github plugin), “tell me a joke”, and many more. We hope to be able to push i4Siri out soon and FREE. We can not stress enough that i4Siri will be free but we will hope that donations still exist to pay for the server afterwards.

Yes. The cydia Siri tweaks are working fine with i4siri such as SiriToogles, Assistant Extensions (except. Let’s Chat) and Lingual.

Yeah, I’m having that happen too. I think it’s just a server issue, they’ll get that stuff worked out. Remember it’s still in beta.

After i finally got the correct ID from Paypal (bunch of morons), i4siri worked immediately well for me.
Some Commands arent implented yet, but if i look at the now implented Commands im looking forward for the comming set!

I am having issues with my PayPal transaction ID, i4siriserver says there is something wrong with it. In your comment you mention something about the ID and paypal as well , so I though i might ask. Did you encounter the same issue and if so, what did you do to solve it?

Basically you have to write/phone paypal Support and tell them, youve got the Wrong Trans. ID. Give Them Your Receipt Number and ask for the transaction ID, your paypal-counterpart got.
After i asked few times another person i finally got the correct ID from them.

I am deeply disappointed. I have donated on the 26th of december!!!!! I have been patiently waiting and never badmouthed i4siri guys, however what I have been experiencing now is ridiculous! As far as i remember the access to the server would be given to the donators however every time i try to log in on http://www.i4siriserver.com my transaction ID is not recognized. I feel cheated and would really appreciate if your team could do something about this issue.
PS Ive sent emails to the server email to, but to no avail!
This is embarrassing and only gives a bad name to you guys.

no, the problem is paypal giving wrong trans ids… look for the correct id in the paypal app in your iPhone.

Is there an amount range to be donated in order to use i4Siri as a donator, or a minimum amount?
Just dont donate 0.01$, because that costs the Counterpart more than you (or so)

I have just paid 5$ a while back and the transaction ID i got doesnot work here. It shows me that “Something is wrong with this transaction id. “. I went thru some other posts and in one of them i read that you will get a different transaction ID if you download the Paypal app and access history thru that. i am from Indian and am not able to view the Paypal all on the india store as it is only available on the US store. what do i do now. can anyone help??????? am very very keen to try Siri

Hey guys there’s another siri copy call SARA. Its like i4siri but is a little older and seems more advanced, at least until i4siri grows. So if you want jump over to this site and download the deb file to get it installed (need iFile installed). All the commands of siri seem to work great with SARA give it a shot.

Yeah ! and it’s free, support iOS from 3.1.3 to 5.0.1, so you dont need to upgrade to iOS 5 to use (iOS 5 has battery problem, u know)

This looks really cool and all but I donated like I was supposed to in the correct time frame 16th January but it refuses to let me register. Hey guys, i’ve tried posting on twitter but it seems to get lost amongst the other messages, basically I didn’t log into PayPal when I made my donation back in Januarry (22nd). So the transaction hasn’t shown up on my PayPal account and i’m unable to get the right ID.
I was wondering if there was any solution to this?

Siri is working nice but often not reachable..Fact is that googles voice recognition is awful.When i say launch cydia then sche wants to lunch cydia.tried it very often but she doesnt understand.Many words are wrong like it always is …..
