Is i4siri going to work on 5.1.1 soon?

  2. jpisare says:

I finally got it working for me, here’s what I did (after uninstalling all Siri-related packages except repos):

Cydia > add SiriPort repo: repo.siriport.ru/
    > add i4Siri repo: i4siri.com/repo/

    Reboot (probably unnecessary but whatever)

Cydia > Install SiriPort (Original) from SiriPort repo
    Reboot

Settings > SiriPort > install cert
    Reboot

    Cydia > install i4Siri Non-Spire from i4Siri repo
    Reboot

    Settings > i4Siri > install cert
    Reboot

Launched Siri and said “Hi”. Worked fist try. Now I don’t know if I got lucky or what, but we’ll see if it continues to work going forward. Hopefully this will help you guys.

I believe we get to little information from the i4siri team about when and if i4siri is going to be compatible with 5.1.1. I know you guys don’t like eta’s, but we like to know if it’s worth the wait… and how long the wait “approximately” is going to be… I appreciate the work you do for us for free (!), but waiting “in the dark” ain’t cool…

Please give us a heads up.

    Thank you very much!

    ipisare got it right guys.
I strongly suggest you to check your internet/WiFi connection. I was pissed off for a whole day until I found out I have a lousy reception inside my room

    All fake comments

    • jpisare says:

Wrong. The method I outlined worked for me.

    • PissedOffUser says:

First of all man sorry if the thing does not work.
Beyond that we are all in the same boat, where we believe in good quality freeware, that is taking it’s first steps.
I would be glad to provide you any advice on that case on my email, since I just like you spent at least 2 sleepless nights to make that thing work in the most bizarre ways including slamming my iDevice over the wall.

      Cheers, and faith!

Jpisar ur method worked but Siri is saying that she can’t answer right now… How can I fix that?

    • jpisare says:

Not sure buddy, sorry. I was receiving that same message until I uninstalled all Siri-related packages and did what I outlined above. Since then I have had no issues outside of a bit of lag every now-and-then.

If you want to spend the extra time, uninstall everything through Cydia (can leave the repos), reboot, then try again. =/

Make sure your 14siri cert it the currect one, and make sure you have a good Wifi\3G connection
