Since our launch of our new servers many users have experienced issues connecting. From our end we can see that a lot of this is due to user error and not completely following directions. One of the most common errors is that users do not use our Cydia package which was developed to prevent these issues. The proper Spire URL is: https://i4siri.chickenkiller.com
Note the proper case, https://, and the removal of :4443. All three of these are very important and can cause server issues.
Secondly, make sure all older certificates are removed. The new servers REQUIRE a new certificate. Delete the old SiriServer CA. You can use the Cydia package to install the certificate. The new certificate should be named i4SiriServer CA and NOTHING else.
You must closely follow these directions, failure to do so will result in failure to connect to the servers properly. Please be sure to share this page and post below if you experience any issues.
When I updated the package on Cydia it didn’t update the URL.
Thanks for posting this.
can i4siri work on an ipod touch 4g on 5.1.1
How can u use this w/o spire?
download siriport original from https:repo.siriport.ru/ it has spire for 5.1.1
Try using Ac!d…..
When I ask it weather related questions my iPad 2 goes into safe mode. Everything else works.
You need to install the stock iphone apps, Stoks and weather for it to work… just google how to get them..
I got Siri to work but she don’t answer a lot of questions like set an alarm….anyone know why?
I had to upgrade to 5.1.1 because my iPhone really needed to be restored… so now Spire won’t install… any suggestion (apart from downgrading the iOS)
I did the same thing. Install i4siri-ac!d
Still doesnt work, if u say something to siri it will stay to loading for forever, all https are correct.
having same problem… i just recently installed i4siri step by step as instructed, after installation when ever i say something to siri, it keeps on loading … no response …………. NEED HELP
what about ipad 2 with ios 5.1.1 when spire gonna come?
I did every step and it couldn’t work. Also, is it okay to have more then one profile?
Siri cann’t connect to server, says ;sorry bout can not work right now…that means can not connect to server,I follow instruction closely
same here. it was working great the past few days but this morning it’s really slow and sometimes it says sorry can’t answer blah, blah…… i updated the siriport original and reinstalled the certificate. it worked but kind of slow. so i guess it’s the server. keep trying.
Same here, it worked for a day after reinstalled. Then today didn’t work, Siri loading forever…and never response. Its that just me or anyone have same problem?
I only got it to work the day you guys released i4siri. I’ve been having this problem for months
I’ve been trying and trying for months… Following directions to the letter each time on two different iPhone 4′s and get same “I’m really sorry…”
A month is a long time to try daily.
The only time I got i4Siri to run was when i was on IOS 5.1 briefly for a day. Then when it quit I updated to 5.1.1 and of course the fix was not out yet. Haven’t had it work since.
Everytime there is a fix or new release, I download and install, deleting the old cert and rebooting before downloading and installing the new.
IDK. Bout to give up.
Shit i4siri is expire after i donate 50 bucks! They dont even buy servers im sure.
I agree, they scame just money.
HOPE ANONYMOUS BROKE THIS SITE AND U LEARN HOW TOO.
Did everything – still wouldn’t work.
Admins – we really need some answers here, cause I am sure for example, that I did follow all your instructions and many others did as well.
The main question remains – WHY SIRI STILL WOULDN’T WORK?!
First day I install it work but after that not work, stuck on loading forever n no respond.
[...] So we have organized a category on i4Siri Forum to allow users to submit connection issues with i4Siri Servers. We hope to be able to squash any outstanding issues to this day. Before posting be sure to have read the article posted here about common issues when connecting. http://i4siri.com/common-issues-with-new-servers/ [...]
Well…it seems we have progressed a tiny step.
Siri is finally working. I guess that downloading uSirity and DeleteAssistant + waiting 24 hours to connect did the trick.
The main issue right now is the clear disadvantage of i4siri with understanding commands. any suggestions?
I finally got it working for me, here’s what I did (after uninstalling all Siri-related packages except repos):
Cydia > add SiriPort repo: repo.siriport.ru/
> add i4Siri repo: i4siri.com/repo/
Reboot (probably unnecessary but whatever)
Cydia > Install SiriPort (Original) from SiriPort repo
Reboot
Settings > SiriPort > install cert
Reboot
Cydia > install i4Siri Non-Spire from i4Siri repo
Reboot
Settings > i4Siri > install cert
Reboot
Launched Siri and said “Hi”. Worked fist try. Now I don’t know if I got lucky or what, but we’ll see if it continues to work going forward. Hopefully this will help you guys.
Does is understand all your commands?
So far I’ve only said “Hi” in which it/she acknowledged me and “What’s the weather like today?” in which it/she pulled up the weather forecast. Haven’t tried much else as of yet.
Ok, tried “Where can I get pizza around here?” (Chicago btw, so lol at the thousand hits) and it worked. Also asked “Who won the first Super Bowl?” and the winner/score/etc was returned.
Okay. sounds like a solid siri to me.
BTW what IOS are you using right now?
Oops, sorry, should have mentioned iPhone 4 on 5.1.1 jailbroken with Absinthe.
worked for me! but it always says ” i can search the web for that” i just want the answer..why is that? i can search the web myself.
Turns out that the Language “English (UK)” doesnt work but when I changed it to American English it works!
Tried Hi and responded, Asked for time and it told me… Asked how it was and it answered!
Wow, anyone having issues with the server not working? the default server? I am. I installed it yesterday, and all was working well but this morning, when I said “hey siri,” or tried to dictate a message, for the dictation, it just said, “thinking…thinking… and then when I tried to ask it what time it was, it just said something like it couldn’t answer that question right now or something. I’ve followed all steps, and still, same result.
why dose it always say ” i can search the web for that” i dont want it to search the web i want to tell me the answer i want to hear…any comments?
Trying to do the same thing having connection issues.. trying one of the above (original) fix to see it if helps.. have 2 iphones working on it now..
The (original) siriport didnt work on either iphone4, verizon and att…
just so everyone knows… followed directions expicitly… keeps responding as i cant help you right now..
On my iPad 2 Siri Say only hallo… So if i try to ASK somthing Else she Say that she can’t help me now… What should i do or what i do wrong ?
I’ve followed all the instructions closely for the ac!d and siri port method. I finally got Siri to open but I asked 20 different questions and all it did was stay loading.
I’m on iPhone 4 5.1.1 absinthe
